2020 marked the 50th anniversary of Flood v. Kuhn, our father's landmark U.S. Supreme Court lawsuit, and his courageous fight against Major League Baseball, to become a "free agent."
And while blackballed from a life in baseball after the case, he continues to be blackballed from the Hall of Fame in death. Thus, the battle for his enshrinement in the National Baseball Museum and Hall of Fame at Cooperstown wages on. In his own words:
"Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher."
Founded by Curt Flood’s children in the legacy of their father’s activism and altruism, the Curt Flood Foundation aims to uplift and advocate for systemically and historically underserved and disadvantaged populations.
Curt Flood Foundation is driven by the vision of racial equity and representation. Our work is based on the belief that true equity can only be achieved through equal access, transparent information, equitable opportunity and funding.
So, if you and/or your organization are like minded in mission and spirit; community involvement and support; and/or your vision and values are synchronous with our ability to either a) provide direct support Or, b) fundraise and/or friendraise on your behalf, please feel welcome to call upon us.
Thank you, CFF
